Talent Recruitment at McDonald's: Join the McUSA Job Tour!

Would you like to work at McDonald’s? Then don’t miss the upcoming McDonald’s recruiting days as part of the job tour.

The itinerant recruitment campaign dedicated to the well-known fast-food chain will make stops in various cities across the United States, covering job openings in both new and existing restaurants nationwide. The company has planned new selections for the 2023 hiring season.

McDonald’s is experiencing strong growth in the United States and is opening numerous restaurants across the country, resulting in a positive impact on employment opportunities. In recent years, new openings have created thousands of jobs. Furthermore, the company is pursuing a growth program that aims to bring in 5,000 new employees by 2023.

The development plan not only includes the opening of new locations but also the enhancement of existing ones across the country. To meet the growing personnel requirements, the fast-food giant initiated a massive recruitment drive in the United States a few years ago and launched the job tour, a campaign dedicated to meeting and selecting candidates interested in working in the chain’s restaurants. In the past decade, the McUSA job tour has visited over 100 cities, engaging with more than 13,000 candidates. The recruitment campaign continues this year and will reach various cities through McDonald’s recruiting days.

CONTRACT TYPES

McDonald’s offers its employees the opportunity to work with stable contracts. Salaries are in line with the national collective labor agreement (C.C.N.L.) for the tourism industry, with additional incentives based on shifts and bonuses. New hires are typically offered apprenticeship contracts with an average duration of 36 months, designed for young individuals aged 18 to 29, even without prior experience. Upon completion of the contract, the company often offers permanent employment. Management roles (Directors, Managers) are hired on a permanent basis and are usually individuals who have previously worked with the company. McDonald’s places a significant emphasis on training and encourages the personal and professional growth of talented candidates.

McUSA “JOB TOUR” RECRUITING DAYS

In preparation for the opening of new outlets in the United States and to recruit personnel to strengthen the teams working in existing restaurants nationwide, McDonald’s has organized the McUSA Job Tour. It is a mobile selection campaign that visits cities where the chain is opening new restaurants or where additional staff is needed to meet candidates.

SELECTION PROCESS

Typically, the selection process for working at McDonald’s consists of several stages, starting with an online application. To apply, candidates need to complete an online questionnaire regarding their availability, desired roles, and geographical preferences, and submit their CV.

Based on the evaluation of these elements, suitable candidates for the available positions will be identified. These candidates will be asked to complete a behavioral assessment test to highlight their strengths. Those who successfully pass the test will then be contacted by the company, which will provide them with the date and time for individual interviews.

The interviews also serve as an opportunity for candidates to learn more about the company and working at McDonald’s, as current Managers, Hosts, and Crew members from the group are present to provide insights.
